All are invited to bring their own pizza/picnic and lawn chairs, and enjoy a live music performance by 3hattrio, a band from the heart of Zion Canyon. The event starts at 7 p.m. Live music starts at 7:45 p.m. and lasts until dusk when the annual Cedar City fireworks show begins.

SUU Aviation pilots will be available for a meet-and-greet and show various aircraft on the tarmac. Community members will get a chance to have fun and friendly interaction with SUU’s pilots, ask questions and tour their state-of-the-art helicopters and planes.

“We are grateful for the community’s support of our program and want to show our appreciation by opening up our facility for the public to enjoy,” Executive Director of SUU Aviation and Chief Flight Instructor Mike Mower said. “City staff use the airport property for their annual fireworks show so we have the best seats in the city. Bring your family, tour our aircraft and meet our pilots — it will be a good time for everyone.”

The band 3hattrio, who is made up of local talent Hal Cannon, Eli Wrankle and Greg Istock, is known for their unique American desert music sound. The band aims to create new music that acknowledges the culture and people who work and live in the deserts of the American Southwest. 3hattrio has toured in many locations, including Scandinavia.
