John Michael Montgomery in Concert at SUU

Southern Utah University is pleased to announce country artist John Michael Montgomery in concert on Tuesday, September 11, 2018.
“We are excited to bring John Michael Montgomery to SUU and Cedar City for the first time,” says Mindy Benson, vice president for alumni and community relations. “His music is loved by many and I am confident concert goers in southern Utah will enjoy his show.”
The show will begin at 7:30 p.m. in SUU’s America First Event Center located at 152 S. 800 W. Ticket prices range from $20-$45 and can be purchased online at www.tbirdtickets.com, by calling 435.586.7872, or by visiting the Thunderbird Ticket Office.
John Michael Montgomery has turned an uncanny ability to relate to fans into one of country music’s most storied careers. Behind the string of hit records, the roomful of awards and the critical and fan accolades that have defined his phenomenal success lies a connection that goes beyond his undeniable talent and his proven knack for picking hits. Since the days when “Life’s A Dance” turned him from an unknown artist into a national star, John Michael’s rich baritone has carried that most important of assets - believability. Few artists in any genre sing with more heart than this Kentucky-born artist.
His achievements include: 16 million sold albums, 15 Number One Singles, four ACM Awards, three CMA Awards, one American Music Awards, American Songwriter Magazine - Artist of the Year, Four Billboards Awards - Single, Top Country Artist, Top Male Artist, and two Grammy Nominations.
