Visit go.suu.edu/coronavirus for all campus health updates.

On March 31 a campus wide email was sent to all students & parents encouraging students to return to their permanent residence, if possible and informing the campus community about a list of campus resources and an upcoming live Q&A.

Subject: 3 Updates (Returning home; Contact info; Q&A Webinar)

Hey T-Bird,

We hope you are safe and well. We know that the last few weeks have brought many challenges and so we hope you are hanging in there. Here are some updates we want to make you aware of:

Return to your permanent residence if possible

We encourage all students who are able to transition to their hometown and permanent residence where home conditions allow. We recognize that some students may need to stay in Cedar City for work reasons, safety reasons, or because this is your permanent residence. However, in advance of potential travel restrictions being placed on us by the State of Utah, and for overall health reasons, we strongly encourage all students (who are able) to return to their permanent residence.

Campus Resources and Contact Information

While many physical offices are closed to the public, ALL campus resources and services remain ready to serve you remotely. To help you know how to contact these offices, we have created this resource list with all the information you need. If the office you are trying to contact is not listed on this list, please visit their official office webpage where we are adding up-to-date contact information. Please check these websites frequently for the most up-to-date contact information and hours of operation.

Online Webinar - Join us for a live Q&A

We know that many of you have questions and we want to make sure you are getting them answered. SUU is hosting another online, live webinar and Q&A session on Thursday, April 2, 2020 from 11:00 am to Noon MDT. There will be representatives from Student Affairs, Academic Affairs, Financial Aid & Scholarships, Academic Advising, and the Registrar’s Office available to answer all your questions. [Students were emailed a link to access the webinar.]

Please let us know if we can help you in any way. You've got this! Finish strong. We are here to help with whatever you need; simply reach out to us.

Regards,

Dr. Jared N. Tippets

Vice President for Student Affairs
