Campus Safety Alert - Bomb Threat

Today (August 20, 2020) at about 3:30 AM the Utah Department of Public Safety Cedar Communications Center received a recorded bomb threat. The call was brief and void of many details and did not mention Southern Utah University by name. Following established protocols, SUU Campus Police have been working closely with local authorities to investigate and search all campus buildings for anything suspicious or unusual. Universities throughout the state received similar calls and at this time there is no credible threat to campus. The SUU community is encouraged to report any suspicious activities or items to SUU Campus Police.
