A.P.E.X. Events presents Mandeep KhalsaSouthern Utah University's A.P.E.X. Events is thrilled to explore wellness by featuring Mandeep Khalsa, a yoga, meditation, and Ayurveda teacher, who will share techniques and practices for meditation, wellness, and self-elevation. Join A.P.E.X. Events on Thursday, October 1 at 11:30 a.m. in the Great Hall of the Hunter Conference Center on the campus of SUU.

"A.P.E.X. Events is so excited to bring the topic of wellness to our students and audience," said Dr. Lynn Vartan, director of A.P.E.X. Events. "I can’t think of a more beneficial thing to explore in these strange times - it is our hope that this event can offer some insight into the wellness and resilience we all need right now”

Mandeep Khalsa began her journey as a professional yoga teacher in 2000 when she was convinced by her friend to try yoga due to a chronic, painful low back compression combined with an intense early onset of menopause. Although she had a few reservations, after just one yoga class she was amazed at how much better she felt- balanced and stronger- it was there that she knew this was her dharmic path of healing.

In 2005, she relocated from Las Vegas to Cedar City, Utah which turned out to be a significant turning point and became an incredible journey of transformation and evolution. It was here that she was inspired, after receiving her Kundalini Level One Training, to create a community center, sanctuary and haven where they offer the profound technology of the Yoga of Awareness to anyone and everyone! Sage Hills 108, Your Self Elevation Station opened its doors in the spring of 2010 with lots of people coming from all over the world to participate in the teachings and Self Elevated Experiences that continue to be offered!

She has earned +1000 hours of Yoga, Meditation, and Sound Healing certifications and is registered with the International Kundalini Teachers Association, Yoga Alliance as well as the International Yoga Therapists Association. The more she continues to practice and teach, the more aware she is of how much more she has to learn- but she loves being a lifelong student!

“It’s a wonderful Beginners Mind that keeps me renewed, feeling young and more and more Whole,” said Khalsa.

A.P.E.X. Events is SUU’s premier weekly lecture series, with speakers and presenters invited from all areas of the world. While on campus, guests are invited to interact with students and faculty in multiple ways, with opportunities to connect and network in vast areas of scholarship. All A.P.E.X. events are free and open to the public.

This semester, A.P.E.X. Event presentations will also be streamed live via Zoom. Join the event virtually at https://suu-edu.zoom.us/j/95861182001?pwd=U2NpZnhNR1NDMGtndWt0RVNSNEJLZz09.
