APEX partners with the Leavitt Center and The Lincoln ProjectSouthern Utah University's A.P.E.X. Events partners this week with the SUU’s Michael O. Leavitt Center for Politics and Public Service to bring you representatives from The Lincoln Project. Join A.P.E.X. Events on November 18, 2021 at 11:30 a.m. in the Great Hall of the Hunter Alumni Center.

“Our partnership with the Leavitt Center is a valuable part of the mission to bring diverse topics
to our audiences," said Dr. Lynn Vartan, director of A.P.E.X. Events at SUU. "Healthy, civil conversations about our political landscape are essential to increasing tolerance and consideration in our campus communities. I am so grateful we can continue to have these conversations on campus."

We are happy to be partnering again with the SUU Leavitt Center to bring you this event. The Leavitt Center serves as an interdisciplinary core for leadership training, citizenship education, humanitarian service, and public policy research. They empower students to become informed and involved within their political districts, but also in their neighborhoods.

This week we bring representatives from The Lincoln Project to share their experiences working in politics with the campus. The Lincoln Project is an American political action committee formed in 2019 by former and incumbent Republicans. They draw their inspiration from America’s 16th president, Abraham Lincoln who fought to keep the union together during one of the hardest times in our country's history.

A.P.E.X. Events is SUU’s premier weekly lecture series, with speakers and presenters invited from all areas of the world. While on campus, guests are invited to interact with students and faculty in multiple ways, with opportunities to connect and network in vast areas of scholarship. All A.P.E.X. Events are free and open to the public.

This semester, A.P.E.X. Event presentations will also be streamed live, join the event virtually via Zoom.
