Local Job Fair at SUUSouthern Utah University’s Career and Professional Development Center invites all Cedar City and surrounding area employers to attend the upcoming Local Job Fair. The event is scheduled to take place on SUU’s campus in the Sharwan Smith Student Center Ballroom on January 19, 2022 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.

“The Local Job Fair is designed to help employers fill jobs that students can do while they're in school, whether that's in the local Cedar City area or remote online work,” said Geoff Lewis, assistant director of the Career Center. “We have awesome students looking for great opportunities, and this event is the perfect place for them to explore, connect, and get hired.”

For those interested in recruiting student workers, registration is open on Handshake, an online recruiting platform for higher education students and alumni, and closes on January 12, 2022 at 5 p.m.

To further support SUU’s Career Center, sponsorship opportunities are available for employers interested in gaining more marketing exposure, and premium booth location at the fair. Sponsor registration closes on December 22, 2021 due to marketing lead time.

“At our last Local Job Fair, several students walked away with either an interview set up or a job offer,” said McKinley Hatch, SUU’s Career Center events and marketing coordinator. “Our Local Job Fair is a great opportunity for both students seeking jobs, and employers looking to fill positions.”

SUU’s Career Center strives to provide students opportunities to enhance their career, increase their networking abilities, and give them the financial resources they need to succeed in college.
