SUU Business Center Provides Resources to Rural CommunitiesSouthern Utah University’s Business Center is working closely with the SUU Office of Regional Services and SUU President Mindy Benson to establish a team for business outreach with rural businesses in Beaver, Garfield and Iron counties.

“We know from experience that business outreach efforts are extremely effective. I’m excited that we have the opportunity to better connect with local small businesses and assist them however we can,” said Joni Anderson, director of the SUU Business Center. “I’m even more excited that we will have part-time employees in Garfield and Beaver counties along with Iron County so that we can better serve the small businesses in the region.”

Using U.S. Economic Development Administration University Center funding, SUU is taking a unique opportunity to hire part-time employees in Beaver, Garfield and Iron counties to make these vital business connections.

The goal is to meet with business owners to assess their needs and connect them to available resources. The services provided by the resource partners involved include business startup assistance, business planning, financial projections, marketing and market research, business management, prototyping, networking, training, and more.

The resource partners listed below are focused on supporting small business creation and growth.
