The Southern Utah University Department of Music is pleased to announce its beloved annual Holiday Concert on Friday, December 5, 2025, at 7:30 p.m. in the Heritage Center Theater. Presented as part of the 2025-26 Music Masterworks Series, this festive tradition brings together hundreds of student performers across instrumental and choral ensembles for an evening of joy, celebration, and musical cheer.
This year’s concert features a dazzling lineup of SUU ensembles, including the Wind Symphony, Symphony Orchestra, OPUS Chamber Choir, Concert Choir, Luminosa Treble Choir, Jazz Ensemble One, a Percussion Trio, and a Jazz Combo. Audiences will also enjoy three holiday readings sprinkled throughout the evening, adding warmth and variety to the program.
To celebrate the season of togetherness, all ensembles will unite to open the concert with Randol Alan Bass’ Gloria, a vibrant and majestic work that sets a triumphant tone for the night. The program will conclude with the iconic A Christmas Festival by Leroy Anderson, bringing all performers back to the stage for a merry and memorable finale.
“The Holiday Concert is one of our favorite traditions because it brings the whole department—and the whole community—together,” said Dr. Trevor Davis, Director of Woodwinds. “The students pour their hearts into this performance, and audiences can feel that energy from the very first note. It’s a joyful way to usher in the season.”
Tickets are $10 for adults, $8 for alumni, and $5 for youth and non-SUU students. As always, SUU students, faculty, and staff receive free admission with a valid SUU I.D. Tickets will be available for purchase at the Heritage Center box office up to 30 minutes before the performance.
Celebrate the spirit of the holidays with SUU’s Department of Music and experience the artistry, talent, and enthusiasm of SUU’s outstanding student musicians. For more information about Music at SUU, visit www.suu.edu/pva/music.
