Available for students seeking an online certificate/licensure, associate, bachelor’s, or master’s degree.

SUU has created the Online Tuition Assistance Scholarship to help you get back on track with your education. This one-time scholarship provides assistance for the 2022-23 school year. It covers up to the full cost of tuition for individuals who have had their education interrupted or who need financial assistance to persist toward the completion of their program.

Scholarship Requirements

This scholarship is awarded on a first-come, first-serve basis at the undergraduate and graduate levels. Students may qualify for up to 100% tuition assistance.* To qualify, you must meet the following criteria:

  • Be a graduate from a Utah High School OR be a current Utah resident.
  • Must enroll in 100% online courses for the 2022-2023 school year
  • You must register in a minimum of 6 credit hours per semester**  
  • The priority deadline to submit the scholarship application, 2022-2023 FAFSA, and all required FAFSA-associated documents is 11:59 PM MT, November 27th, 2022.
  • Apply and be accepted to Southern Utah University for the Fall 2022, Spring 2023, or Summer 2023 semester.
  • Submit a FAFSA, if you are an undergraduate student.

*The scholarship amount is determined by the anticipated credit load selected in your scholarship application. Any fluctuations in your credit load over the course of the scholarship period may affect your scholarship coverage. Please reach out to christopherdimond@suu.edu the SUU Online Financial Aid Office prior to registration, should you want to deviate from the anticipated credit load amount on your scholarship application.

**Students starting their program in the B session may take 3 credits for their first session and then must  take 6 credits per semester afterward.
