Tech Fair

February 2023 - Official date to be announced in August

The SUU Tech Fair is a CTE focused event that provides curriculum-rich workshops and industry experiences to Utah high school students. Teachers are highly encouraged to actively participate as well, allowing them to take a new activity and skills back to their classroom for future use.

The SUU Tech Fair is a CTE focused event that provides curriculum-rich workshops and industry experiences to Utah high school students. Teachers are highly encouraged to actively participate as well, allowing them to take a new activity and skills back to their classroom for future use.

Engineering and Technology professor-led workshops for the annual project are held on Thursday. In February 2022, we worked with students and teachers to build a swimming robofish. Lessons and labs focused on Utah Education CTE curriculum for CAD Design, Additives, CNC Machining, Electronics, and Programming.

Tech Fair participants are divided into groups and rotate through the modules to complete the project. Participants complete three modules in the morning. They will then eat lunch (which we provide) before returning to the classrooms to complete the remaining two modules. Once they have created their project, they have the opportunity to compete and win prizes for themselves and their CTE classrooms.

SUU Campus tours are also offered during Tech Fair for students who have not been on a university campus or who have an interest in continuing their education at SUU.
