Learning Lives Forever

Join us for Learning Lives Forever virtual events and educational experiences. Events include alumni sharing career experiences, current and retired professors sharing their classroom philosophies and knowledge, as well as fun activities for individuals and families. Learning Lives Forever is delivered via Zoom and SUU Alumni social media channels.

August Events

  • August 27: A Conversation with Myndee Kay Larsen ('98), 4 p.m. MDT via Zoom. Myndee Kay is SUU's current alumni president and deputy commissioner of The Summit League. She is also a former coach and administrator, and still holds NCAA records for consecutive field goals made and single season field goal percentage. She is also the only Southern Utah women's basketball player ever to have her jersey retired. Myndee Kay will discuss empowerment, team work and what's going on in the NCAA. Watch here or add this event to your calendar. 
  • August 31: President Wyatt's Summer Reading Club. The Poker Bride: The First Chinese in the Wild West by Chris Corbett, a story about Chinese immigrant Polly Bemis that takes place during the California gold rush.  Tune into the President's Podcast for a discussion of the book.
  • Watch for August's Little Learning Lecture on Facebook and Instagram featuring Camille Thomas,  associate professor of kinesiology & outdoor recreation and interm dean of SUU's new college of health sciences.
