What is a Master of Science in Business Analytics?Are you interested in data science and analytics? If you are, then the Master of Science in Business Analytics (MSBA) at Southern Utah University might be the perfect fit for you. In today’s age, data and the analysis of it is growing more and more important. Companies are using data in order to make their operations more efficient, increase sales, and much more. In SUU’s MSBA degree program, students gain real-world experience and study under highly qualified faculty.

The MSBA program at SUU trains students to use data, statistical analysis, and mathematical models to solve business problems, improve business processes, and make better business decisions. The program aims to achieve the optimal balance between technical expertise and real-world applications, to produce graduates who can apply appropriate methodologies in practical ways.

What is the MSBA curriculum like?

The MSBA courses are grouped into three categories, analytics, economics, and computer science courses. The program provides a well-rounded education by giving students experience with both data analytics—the science of transforming data into insights—and operations research—the application of quantitative methods to problems involving complex systems.

The MSBA degree will take approximately 33 credits to complete, below are the courses required for the degree:

Upon completion of the MSBA graduates have a variety of career opportunities available to them because of the wide spectrum of knowledge gained.
