What is a Joint MAcc/MBA?
A joint degree allows graduates to earn two different degrees at the same time during their master’s program.
The Joint MAcc/MBA degree at SUU incorporates both the Master of Accountancy (MAcc) degree and the Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree.
How is the Joint MAcc/MBA program structured?
SUU’s Joint MAcc/MBA program requires a total of 48 credit hours of graduate coursework, compared to as many as 90 credit hours if the degrees were earned separately.
Courses are offered both online and on-campus, giving students the flexibility to choose what will best fit their situation. In addition, graduates can finish in as few as 4 semesters.
The Joint MAcc/MBA program must be completed simultaneously, which means graduates aren’t allowed to complete one degree and then the other within the 48-credit program.
SUU’s program courses can be categorized into two areas: business management courses and accounting courses.
MBA - Business Management Courses
The Master of Business Administration (MBA) courses include:
- Finance
- Management
- Analytics
- Marketing
- Economics
MAcc - Accounting Courses
The Master of Accountancy (MAcc) courses include:
- Tax
- Audit
- Public Accounting
- Managerial Accounting
Learning Outcomes
As a graduate student of SUU’s Joint MAcc/MBA program, you will:
