TimelyCare for SUU studentsSouthern Utah University is excited to offer TimelyCare - a virtual health and well-being program for students. The service will provide free access to mental virtual health care from anywhere in the U.S., including Alaska and Hawaii. SUU students will be able to speak privately from their smartphone or web-enabled device to a licensed provider any time they are feeling overwhelmed, anxious, or in need of some support. These licensed providers are available for mental health support 24/7 over the phone or through secure video chats. If you have questions about TimelyCare, we have the answers!

How Can Students Access TimelyCare?

Students will need to register before using TimelyCare. To register, visit timelycare.com/suu and enter your name and school email address

Who Can Use TimelyCare?

Any student attending Southern Utah University is eligible. This includes online students!

What Services are Available?

Currently, TimelyCare offers four services.

  • TalkNow: talk to a mental health professional 24/7 about anything or any time.
  • Scheduled Counseling: this is when a student schedules a time to speak to a licensed counselor. SUU students are allowed up to nine visits per year.
  • Health Coaching: if you’re looking for ways to incorporate healthier behaviors, this is the service for you. You’ll have access to a nutritional specialist who will provide information on how students can adopt healthier behaviors related to sleep, food, exercise, and more.
  • Psychiatry: in the event that you need psychiatric care, these services are available through TimelyCare by referral.

How Much Does a Visit Cost?

It’s free! Your mental health is essential, so TimelyCare services are free to all SUU students.

How Convenient is TimelyCare?

Mental health and proper support are important all day long. TimelyCare allows SUU students to access the help they need 24/7. This allows students to get help on their time without having to move their schedules around to accommodate business hours. TimelyCare also provides a small wait time for on-demand services.

Do The Providers Understand Diverse Issues?

The providers are culturally competent in their practices. Additionally, over 60 percent of the providers are BIPOC. Additionally, there are many providers who self-identify as LGBTQ+, speak other languages, and come from a variety of religious backgrounds.

Is TimelyCare Secure?

TimelyCare is safe and secure. The platform is HIPAA-compliant and follows campus-specific protocols to facilitate care.
