Degree Details
Students can choose between a Bachelor of Science, with 12 credits of science and math, or a Bachelor of Arts, with 16 credits of foreign language. Both paths include professional education courses from SUU’s College of Education and Human Development to meet Utah’s Secondary Teaching Certification requirements.
Applied Learning to Teach Business
Students will learn important business concepts and how to teach them. They’ll take courses like Accounting, Business Law and Ethics, Economics, Personal Finance, and Marketing Principles. They’ll also prepare for the Business Praxis test and participate in student organizations like PBL and DECA for hands-on learning and career connections.
Teaching License Option
To qualify for a teaching license, students must take professional education courses through SUU's Department of Teacher Education. Please see the degree requirements for Secondary Education Licensure.
