Our facilities include advanced labs like the Thunderworks Makerspace, which provides access to industry-level tools and machinery. Students gain hands-on experience with hydraulic engineering, fluid mechanics, and surveying equipment. Engaged Student Groups
The Rocketbirds, SUU’s Engineering Students Club, compete in the intercollegiate Rocket Engineering Competition and Spaceport America Cup, focusing on aerodynamics and propulsion projects. The FIRST Challenge Program and the Engineering & Technology Fair promote community outreach and innovation. Students also benefit from involvement in these organizations through networking and real-world problem-solving experiences.
