What Makes the Finish Line Scholarship Unique?

The Finish Line Scholarship is tailored to assist undergraduate students aiming for their first bachelor’s degree via SUU’s fully online programs. This scholarship for college is built around flexibility, enabling you to concentrate on your studies while easing the financial strain of tuition.

*This scholarship is only available to U.S. citizens. Unfortunately, international students and those enrolled in the Speedway or RN-BSN programs are not eligible for the Finish Line Scholarship.

The Finish Line Scholarship is available to new, returning, and transfer students pursuing their first bachelor’s degree through SUU’s fully online undergraduate programs. It cannot be used by students enrolled in on-campus or hybrid programs.

While GPA requirements are not detailed here, students must remain in good academic standing and continue meeting eligibility criteria to retain the scholarship. Please refer to official scholarship guidelines for specific academic requirements.

Yes, students are not required to attend summer semesters to maintain eligibility, but they can use the scholarship during summer if they choose to enroll.

The scholarship is applied directly to your tuition balance each semester after enrollment is verified.

No, you do not need to reapply each semester. Once awarded, the Finish Line Scholarship continues for the number of semesters allowed by your enrollment tier, as long as you maintain eligibility and continuous enrollment.

To remain eligible, you must stay in good academic standing, maintain a cumulative SUU GPA of at least 2.0, and successfully complete at least 70% of your attempted SUU credits. Summer courses are not required, but if you enroll in summer classes, you must meet the minimum credit requirements for your scholarship tier.

Students planning to take a semester or more off must submit a leave of absence request. If you do not meet the renewal criteria, you will lose the scholarship but may appeal the decision through the scholarship appeal form.
