History
The Garth and Jerri Frehner Museum of Natural History has deep roots in Southern Utah University’s campus. Although the current iteration of the museum was constructed in 2012, the collections have existed on campus since as early as 1915. Made up of donations by Southern Utah locals and dedicated faculty, the Frehner Museum boasts a large collection of rocks and minerals, fossils, large scale taxidermy, and natural phenomenon the “Dancing Calves,” born just north of Cedar City.
