Complete the application for graduation within the mySUU Portal. A $50 late fee will be applied to all late applicants. A $15 diploma fee is applied to ALL graduates; it is increased to $50 if applications are received past deadlines.
March 2014: Pay for your cap and gown (required for participation in graduation and convocation ceremonies). Master's degree grads: your gown and hood differ from that of undergraduates; ensure you indicate you’re a graduate student when you order and pay for regalia.
March 15, 2014: You will not graduate as a Fall 2013, Spring 2014 or Summer 2014 graduate if you do NOT apply for graduation by this date. This is also the last day to have your name printed in the commencement program.
March 27, 2014: Open auditions to perform the National Anthem in University Commencement.
Complete the 2014 Grad Survey through the mySUU portal.
Complete the ADA request form for all graduates & guests who will require special ADA accommodations Graduation weekend.
May 1, 2014: Pick up your cap and gown at the Grad Fair at the Alumni House between 8 a.m. and 6 p.m. (Students graduating with honors: Be sure to pick up your medallions during the Grad Fair from the Office of the VP of Student Activities table.)
Instructions for all Graduates
All fees (diploma fee and cap & gown fee) must be paid before your transcript or diploma is released.
Caps and gowns are required for all graduates to participate in both the university and individual college ceremonies.
SUU does not hold a rehearsal for graduation ceremonies.
Please arrive to the graduate line-up one hour early, in graduation regalia, for both the University Commencement Ceremony and your college convocation to receive special instructions. See detailed map for lineup locations.
Graduates who have spouses or immediate family graduating in different colleges at the same time may request to have their degrees awarded in the same college to accommodate relatives who wish to see both graduations. Please call the Registrar's Office (435-586-7715) to make arrangements.
