International Affairs Recognition Gala
The International Affairs Recognition Gala at Southern Utah University is slated to be held on Wednesday, April 2nd, 2025 in the Great Hall. This formal event will recognize the international engagement, accomplishments, and contributions of students, faculty, and staff.
Nominations are open March 1st through March 21st, 2025, and should be based on accomplishments in the 2024-25 Academic Year. All SUU students are eligible. A committee will review nominations and select both international and domestic students for recognition in each of the categories.

Awards
The Service Award recognizes students whose volunteer service has had a significant impact on Southern Utah University and the local and/or global community. Recipients must have exhibited a high level of commitment to volunteerism and civic engagement.
The Leadership Award recognizes students who have shown outstanding leadership ability and have demonstrated commitment to leadership and involvement at SUU.
The International Student Artist Award recognizes students with artistic ability who showcase their creativity, talent, and poise who have displayed exceptional talent in performing arts, visual arts, or creative writing.
This award recognizes SUU student organizations that promote global connections, service, scholarship, peace, and ideas here.
The Globally Engaged Staff Award recognizes SUU staff members who have demonstrated exceptional support for study abroad in the past year.
The Globally Engaged Student award recognizes Southern Utah University students who have actively engaged in and promoted study abroad in the past year.
The Globally Engaged Community Member Award recognizes individuals or families within the community who demonstrate exemplary global engagement over the past year.
