Celebrating Chinese New Year in Utah

Signifying the renewal of life, Chinese New Year is a festivity that lasts 15 days and starts this Friday on February 16. Based on the lunar calendar, the New Year starts on the first new moon of the year and ends on the full moon. The holiday is a time for renewal, letting go of the old year and transitioning into the new. It is also a time to return home to one’s family, reuniting and celebrating together.

A.P.E.X. Event Series: Claudia Bradshaw

On February 22 at 11:30 A.M., SUU’s Premier Event Series: A.P.E.X. will be hosting Claudia Bradshaw to tell her story “My Journey into a New World.” Bradshaw is a compassionate, fiery, and loving mother. She is currently the director of the St. George chapter of PFLAG (Parents & Friends of Lesbians & Gays). She will be sharing her story and answering questions about her relationship with her son when he came out, and the work she is currently doing.
