Southern Utah University’s online Master of Accounting (MACC) program is among the 50 best programs in the nation and number one in Utah, according to new rankings by U.S. News & World Report. The same rankings place SUU’s fully online MBA program in the top 37% of all other similar programs in the United States.

The U.S News rankings are considered the gold standard rankings in the country.

“I am excited about the recent U.S. News rankings for our online graduate programs that endorse the relevant quality education we provide our business students,” said Dr. Mary Pearson, dean of the Dixie L. Leavitt School of Business. “We value the recognition from national publications that consistently rank us among the top educators in the online environment. Thank you to our outstanding faculty and staff for their dedicated service to our students. The Dixie L. Leavitt School of Business has a long legacy of preparing students for success in their professional careers and we will continue to uphold this tradition for many years to come.”

The general business degree ranks 7th and the MBA 12th for cost in comparison with other universities with top online programs.

SUU’s online MBA program has experienced tremendous growth. In 2020, enrollment increased four-fold compared to 2019. It’s part of the overall growth of SUU Online as professors instruct students throughout the country and the world.

“SUU remains committed to both affordability and availability for our students. Our online degree programs have a particular focus in that regard, with online tuition rates that are among the lowest in the country,” said Dr. Steve Meredith, assistant vice president of enrollment for online and graduate programs. “Providing students the opportunity to graduate with a degree from SUU without having to disrupt an established career or family life is our primary goal, and our continuing growth shows how important this opportunity can be, especially for non-traditional students.”

SUU offers seven bachelor’s and 11 master’s degrees that can be earned completely online with more expansion planned in 2021.
