Dean's Message

On behalf of the Dixie L. Leavitt Faculty and Staff, I am excited to welcome you back this spring!  It was evident by the look on your faces the first week of school, that you too were happy to be back to our beautiful Southern Utah University campus. 

I encourage you to enhance your academic experience by getting involved in your classes, business clubs, networking activities, student events, and most importantly get to know your professors and our wonderful staff.  The School of Business faculty are comprised of highly qualified academics and experienced business professionals committed to the excellence of your learning and experience in and outside the classroom.  Our mission is focused on you, “through student-centered education, the Dixie L. Entrepreneurship Speaker Series

The Entrepreneurship Speaker Series provides a different entrepreneur each week to share their insights, struggles, challenges and lessons learned. The speakers and assignments will provide students with varying perspectives on entrepreneurship and give them insights to what it takes to be a successful entrepreneur.

Volunteer Income Tax Assistance (VITA)

This program offers free tax help to people who generally make $56,000 or less, persons with disabilities, the elderly and limited English speaking taxpayers who need assistance in preparing their own tax returns. IRS-certified volunteers provide free basic income tax return preparation with electronic filing to qualified individuals.
