SUU Staff Association Welcomes Justin Jones-Fosu To Campus

Southern Utah University’s Staff Association invites all faculty, staff and students to attend a professional development workshop presented by international speaker Justin Jones-Fosu. Co-sponsored by SUU’s Women’s Network, Office of Equity and Inclusion, Faculty Senate, and Human Resources Office, the event will be held Tuesday, August 24 at 10:00 a.m. in the America First Event Center.
“Bringing Justin Jones-Fosu to our campus for professional development was an easy decision,” said Dan Camp, SUU Staff Association president. “Justin combines a unique perspective on work-life and diversity, all while making these subjects easy to understand and entertaining. Travel for professional development has been very limited over the past year and we wanted to bring this event to campus, so most of our people would have a chance to attend. We are very excited for this opportunity and appreciate our co-sponsors for helping us bring Justin to our beautiful campus.”
The first 500 attendees will receive a copy of The Inclusive Mindset: How to Cultivate Diversity in Your Everyday Life. This book is for human resources professionals and the everyday person who would like to build real relationships with others. The presentation will focus on Jones-Fosu’s unconventional approach to the necessary conversation around diversity. He helps each audience shift their perspective from the cliched overuse to applying everyday diversity that leads to deeper collaboration and innovation.
With over a decade of leadership in Fortune 500 Companies, Jones-Fosu’s real-life experience and research help global organizations create new rhythms of sustainable excellence, profitability, and engagement. He is passionate about helping organizations and individuals take ownership of their mindset, purpose, and performance to achieve amazing results.
He is a full-time husband and father, international speaker, young-award-winning entrepreneur, and author. He is the president and chief inspirational officer of Justin Inspires International where he speaks 50-60 times a year for professionals, colleges, and youth internationally. He has spoken in 4 countries for over 250+ organizations and given over 450+ presentations. Justin is also the founder of Respectivity, a company helping workplaces to develop better cultures of respect.
In 2008, Justin was named as one of EBONY Magazines “30 Young Leaders on the Rise” and was voted as a “HOT ACT” by Campus Activities Magazine in 2015. He has been featured in SMART CEO Magazine, the Baltimore Business Journal and other publications. Justin was a fraternity leader, president of three campus organizations, and on the SGA Executive Board during his college career.
