SUU Ranks Among Most Affordable Online Graduate Accounting Programs

According to Online Master’s Degrees, Southern Utah University has one of the country’s most affordable online accounting master’s degree programs. The ranking, which focuses on helping students choose online master’s degree programs, compared affordability and quality metrics data from the Integrated Postsecondary Education Data System and deemed SUU’s Master of Accountancy program (MAcc) worthy of the number 22 spot out of the 50 schools in the nation who made the list.
Accredited by the Northwest Commission on Colleges and Universities, the online MAcc program at SUU paves a way to affordably obtain a high-quality master’s degree while providing pathways for students to become Certified Public Accountants (CPAs) in as little as one year after finishing their Bachelor of Accounting. MAcc graduates from SUU have nearly a 100 percent job acceptance rate, are more likely to earn a higher salary and have access to a robust job pool.
Though many jobs in the accounting field don’t require a master’s degree, having one helps applicants stand out from those with a bachelor’s. SUU provides an abundance of resources to help students along their journey, like working with school career coaches who help find employment and internship opportunities in auditing, forensic accounting, financial analytics, corporate controlling, and actuarial, to name a few.
Being able to complete the degree fully online offers students many benefits while they complete their education, and brings the same post-graduation benefits as those who obtain it in-person.
