“We’re really grateful to the university for supporting us,” Department Chair Cody Bremner said. “I wanted faculty and students to have access to state-of-the-art equipment, and this will ultimately benefit them.”
By analyzing movements in great detail, the biomechanics lab provides high-quality data on human performance that increases SUU’s research capabilities. T-birds were able to participate in the demonstration, testing out the equipment and asking professors and current biomechanics students questions.

“Having this experience will help students get their foot in the door,” said biomechanics professor Jeff Cowley.

By providing a more immersive education, the biomechanics lab will help students pave new paths forward and soar higher than ever. This is just a small fraction of the opportunities that the Department of Kinesiology & Outdoor Recreation and the College of Health Sciences are constantly striving to give students.
