Adult Learner Grant at SUU
Your goals are still within reach. The Adult Learner Grant can help you return to college and earn an online degree for less.
Funded by the State of Utah, this grant supports eligible adult learners pursuing select, high-demand online degree programs at SUU. These flexible programs prepare students for rewarding careers while making college more affordable.
Grant funding is available for Fall 2026, Spring 2027, and Summer 2027. Eligible students may also receive continued funding across multiple semesters.

Grant Eligibility Guidelines
This grant is given on a first-come, first-served basis for online students. You may qualify for up to your full cost of attendance.
To be eligible, you must:
- Be a Utah resident or qualify for resident status
- Complete a FAFSA application and demonstrate financial need
- Be an "independent student" as determined by FAFSA
- Be enrolled in an online graduate or undergraduate program in a field designed to meet industry needs. See eligible programs below.
You must register in a minimum of 6 credit hours per semester*
Grant funding is limited. Awards are prioritized for applicants who are from rural areas of the state, classified as low-income, or pursuing a degree program aligned to four or five-star jobs.
