SUBJECT: Selection of Members for University Boards


I. PURPOSE

The purpose of this Policy is to establish guidelines to select members for/of University boards.

IV. POLICY

  1. It shall be the policy of Southern Utah University that all potential nominees for membership on the University's Board of Fellows, the Utah Shakespeare Festival's Board of Governors, and the Utah Summer Games Board of Commissioners must receive prior approval from the University's Board of Trustees.
  2. Potential nominees for each of these boards shall not be contacted about possible service on the board until the Board of Trustees has granted final approval of the name(s).
