Departmental Scholarships
There are talent- and mission-based scholarships available to students interested in majoring in the Theatre program. To be considered for a departmental scholarship, all students must be admitted to Southern Utah University and enroll as a full-time Theatre major while maintaining a cumulative 3.0 grade point average. The department does not offer scholarships to students not majoring in Theatre. Students selected to receive scholarships will be notified by the end of April. All departmental scholarships must be renewed each year.

Student Organizations
Second Studio
Second Studio is the student production organization of the Department of Theatre, Dance, & Arts Administration. The goal of Second Studio is to provide students with the opportunity to explore their craft outside the confines of major department productions. Contact the Second Studio Student Board if you are interested in participating!
Second Studio also strives for successful fundraisers throughout the academic year. Some of the fundraising activities include SUU Live, High School Shakespeare Competition concessions, and dances. The money collected helps students attend conferences and provides opportunities for students to earn scholarships through performance, service, and activity within the department.
Second Studio is advised by Scott Knowles.
Thunder Theatre Educators
Thunder Theatre Educators provides a community for Theatre Arts Education majors. The club focuses on its four pillars: community, connection, professional development, and outreach. Club members meet weekly to connect, do homework, gain production experience, and explore teaching opportunities.
Thunder Theatre Educators is advised by Wendy Sanders.
United States Institute for Theatre Technology (USITT), Student Chapter
SUU USITT is a theatre club that strives to bridge the gap between technicians and actors, providing multiple events and workshops. Club members fundraise to attend annual USITT conferences.
Student chapters of USITT are organized across the nation in colleges, universities, and high schools. Comprised of six or more students with a sponsor, these chapters work to promote learning among their peers and to support design and technology on campus.
USITT is advised by Brian Swanson.
