SUU Braithwaite Building

Graduate Writing Center

The SUU Graduate Writing Center (GWC) provides hands-on, personalized writing services to the graduate students of SUU. We welcome graduate writers at every skill and confidence level and at every stage of the writing process—because every writer needs a reader!

The GWC's trained consultants (all postgraduate professionals themselves) offer insightful feedback to enhance graduate students’ skills, knowledge, and overall confidence in graduate-level writing and research, be it in academic or professional genres. If you’re a graduate student with a writing assignment, the GWC is here for you!

Appointments

For your convenience, we offer online appointments to help the widest range of SUU’s graduate students: Zoom appointments in the synchronous (live, real-time) modality and written feedback appointments in the asynchronous (non-live) modality. Our Zoom appointments consist of 1:1 live-time virtual consultations, while our written feedback appointments consist of word processor-based commentary—with no need to meet in real time. At the GWC, our services suit your needs and busy schedule.

The GWC team is trained to assist students per the writing style of their program: APA, MLA, and Chicago styles are just a few of the styles with which our consultants are familiar; however, GWC consultants are also prepared to assist with assignments of other styles (e.g., grant writing, résumés, business proposals, etc.).

If you’re struggling to get started on your assignment or you need feedback on a full draft, the GWC has you covered. Every writer needs a reader! Book now for an online consultation.
