African Union club membersSouthern Utah University’s African Union Club strives to provide a forum of unity and a place for students to learn about African culture on campus. Here are 3 reasons to join the African Union Club!

1. Learn About Africa

The African Union Club is dedicated to promoting a better knowledge and understanding of the African continent, its culture, and its people. Throughout the year, the African Union Club hosts cultural events, special panels, discussions, and field trips.

2. New Opportunities

In the words of 2019-2020 Club President Nouman Kante, “My vision for the African Union Club is to foster an environment for members to excel academically, make a positive impact on the community, and develop a strong personal and professional relationship with the SUU community.”

3. Open to Everyone

Anyone is welcome to join the African Union Club! The club regularly meets at 5 p.m. every other Friday in the Center for Diversity and Inclusion. Come make new friends and learn about Africa.

All eight of the SUU diversity clubs at the CDI promote service, culture, and higher education within an exciting, accepting space. The CDI exists to validate the multiple identities present on campus, and provide emotional, social, and financial support to students from historically underrepresented communities. Learn more about Diversity Resources at SUU
