Festival of Excellence
Celebrating Academic and Creative Scholarship
Dear Colleagues,
One of the joys of our work as academics is the pursuit of new knowledge. No matter your particular “brand” of research or creative endeavor, the successes we enjoy as a community in the areas of scholarship should be shared and celebrated. This is particularly true for our students and their scholarly work – a critical part of their development as learners and scholars.
It’s time for us to come together and share those scholarly successes during our annual Festival of Excellence. This annual festival provides a rich opportunity for each of us to gather as a community of learners to share our projects and passions from the last year. With a variety of venues and presentation styles to chose from, there is a place for everyone to share their work in a supportive and collaborative atmosphere.
Please join me as we prepare for this year's Festival of Excellence. Like last year, each college will create its own structure and schedule that meet its disciplinary needs. An organizer from each college (listed below) has already begun reaching out to their college colleagues to begin designing the event. New this year will be an all-campus poster session. This will occur on the day of the Festival from 2:00-3:30 pm in the America First Event Center.
