The Festival of Excellence is Celebrating Academic and Creative Scholarship

Dear Colleagues,

We can likely all agree that this is one of the most difficult years in memory.  In the midst of the turmoil, we're working harder than ever to succeed in and out of the classroom through undergraduate research, creative activity, and other meaningful curricular and co-curricular projects.  Your efforts during such challenging times are extremely appreciated and meaningful.  

True struggle enhances the need for celebration.  The Festival of Excellence provides a fantastic opportunity to celebrate students' successes.  This work is vitally important for students' educational development and for our campus community's wellbeing.  We truly need to honor our hard-fought successes of this year.

Please join me as we prepare for this year's Festival of Excellence in a new way.  Each college will create its own structure and schedule that meet its disciplinary needs.  An organizer from each college (listed below) has already begun reaching out to their college colleagues to begin designing the event.  More details will come soon, but here are some basics:

Feb. 26 - Registration closes
Mar. 12 - Schedule will be disseminated
Mar. 31 - Day of Event (classes are suspended so all students and faculty can attend)
