Festival Of Excellence Guidelines

Registration for 2026 Festival of Excellence is now open.

Poster Presentation Guidelines:

Poster Presentations are Face-to-Face only

  1. Posters should be 30" by 40".  Students can adjust their Powerpoint slide to these dimensions.
  2. A white background is preferred. Posters should not be mounted.
  3. Print Poster at the Copy Shop
    1. Students need to show up in person to the Copy Shop to deliver the file.
    2. Save your poster as a PDF or JPEG, and have the file saved on a USB flash drive 
    3. Due Date -- Posters must be delivered to the Copy Shop by March 25, 2025.

Oral Presentation Guidelines:

Oral Presentations can be Face-to-Face or Online

  1. Presentations will be scheduled into 15 minute blocks: 2 minutes intro/prep, 10 minutes presentation, 3 minutes Q&A. Note: To stay on schedule presentations will not be allowed to go over their allotted time.
  2. Presentations should include an introduction and use layman terms as opposed to academic jargon.
  3. Visual aids may be used, if appropriate.
  4. Bring a USB flash drive containing their presentation.

Performance/Viewing Presentation:

Performance/Viewing Presentations can be Face-to-Face or Online

  1. Please contact your college representative for guidelines for performance and viewing presentations.

ThunderTalk Guidelines:

ThunderTalk Presentations can be Face-to-Face or Online

  1.  Presentations will be scheduled into 10 minute blocks: 20 slides, 20 seconds per slide, total duration of 6 minutes and 40 seconds). Note: To stay on schedule presentations will not be allowed to go over their allotted time.
