2020 Festival of Excellence Awards Categories

Distinguished Student Presentation Award

Purpose: To recognize exceptional student presentations of experiential learning.

Recipients: Students whose projects and presentations exemplify the best of the Festival of Excellence.

Nominations: Student’s self-nominate in the application process.

Criteria: Excellence in (1) passion for the project, (2) understanding and knowledge of the project, (3) ability to effectively communicate with the audience, and (4) ability to answer questions.

Deadline for nominations is January 31st, when presenter registration closes.

Distinguished Mentor Award

Purpose: To recognize campus members who have put forth exceptional effort in mentoring student projects.

Recipients: Members of the campus community who have distinguished themselves through service in mentoring students.

Nominations: Nominations will be made by students while registering to present. Nominating students may receive a follow up questionnaire.

Criteria: Demonstrated positive impact on students through the mentor’s dedication of time and effort in advancing student learning.

Deadline for nominations is January 31st, when presenter registration closes.
