Updates

  • There will be a guest stand-by line prior to each college degree convocation at the southeast entrance to the America First Event Center. Stand-by seating is based on ticket availability and on a first-come-first-served basis. 
  • Overflow locations for the University Commencement Ceremony and College Degree Convocations will be in the following locations: America First Event Center 229, Sterling R. Church Auditorium, Sharwan Smith Center Theater, Business Building Rooms 126 & 244 & 246 and the SUU Auditorium.  Ceremonies will be live streamed into each location.
  • Gail Miller to be Keynote Speaker at Commencement. 
  • In an effort to promote COVID-19 health and safety guidelines, SUU Commencement will take place on two separate days: April 30 and May 1. See below to identify which day you graduate.

University Festivities on Friday, April 30

8:00 a.m. - Commencement Lineup on Upper Campus

  • Dixie L. Leavitt School of Business
  • Walter Maxwell Gibson College of Sciences
  • College of Engineering & Computational Sciences
  • College of Humanities & Social Sciences
8:30 a.m. - Commencement Procession
Traditional procession that begins on Upper Campus. Graduates in the colleges designated to graduate on Friday, April 30, will walk under the Carter Carillon and are asked to be on the Upper Campus at 8:00 a.m. to line up. 

9:00 a.m. - University Commencement, America First Event Center
The formal ceremony to confer degrees upon SUU's Class of 2021 within the Leavitt School of Business, Gibson College of Sciences, College of Engineering & Computational Sciences, and the College of Humanities & Social Sciences.

April 30 College Degree Convocations

Each graduate is individually recognized, called to walk and accept their diploma in their respective academic college ceremony. 

11 a.m. - Dixie L. Leavitt School of Business, America First Event Center.
