Meet the New Dean
Dr. Jon "Tony" Oliver was hired as Dean of the College of Health Sciences after a twenty-year tenure at Eastern Illinois University (EIU). While at EIU, Dr. Oliver most recently served a three-year term as Associate Dean of the College of Health and Human Services (interim), as well as assistant professor, associate professor, full professor, department chair (interim), and program director (interim). He served on the Faculty Senate for six years and as a vice-president of the Illinois Association for Health, Physical Education, Recreation, and Dance (IAHPERD) for nine years. Oliver earned his Bachelor of Science and Master of Science degrees from Brigham Young University. He earned his PhD from the University of Kansas.
