The Naegle Family celebrates Cartson’s graduation. From former mayor Frances Webster to recent Southern Utah University graduate Shannel, four generations of the Naegle family have called Cedar City home. Many of their ancestors have played a critical role in the growth and development of SUU, but these connections are not just a thing of the past, as the current descendants of the Naegle family are continuing this powerful legacy.

"Our children are striving for excellence at SUU," Kim Naegle said, "and are great examples of hard work and dedication to their futures!"

Cartson and Canton, two of Kim's children, are currently attending SUU. The brothers are good friends who love playing on SUU's football team together. Off the field, Cartson is working towards an MBA, while Canton is pursuing a business degree.

Their sister, Shannel, graduated with a teaching degree from SUU and is working on her master's degree in education. She currently teaches Utah Studies and US History at South Davis Junior High.

"Education is extremely important to our family," Kim said. "It is the gateway to success and allows all the ability to positively impact the future."

As the Naegle family continues to support SUU, they help create a place where everyone can learn and grow. There are many opportunities for continued education at the SUU School of Business and Department of Education.
