SUU Green Office Program

SUU’s Green Office Program is a semesterly challenge designed to get faculty and staff involved in SUU's sustainability efforts. Evaluate and change everyday office practices, such as energy use, supplies purchased, and more to earn a ranking and achieve the most Green Office!

Make a positive, visible impact

Step 1: Sign-up

(20 min for first time offices, 5 min for renewing offices) Select a Green Ambassador from your office, who will sign up and watch the 15 minute training video on recycling and sustainable practices. Ambassadors will share what they learned with their office, as well as be the contact between your office and the Sustainability Specialist.

Step 2: Track

Start tracking what your office is doing to become more green by using the criteria found here: Green Office Program V1.0 Feel free to make a copy of this to track your offices efforts.

Step 3: Submit

(10 min) Submit your final tally by the second to last week of the semester or week before finals.

Awards

We are currently working on building a pass around trophy terrarium for the Most Green Office to show off. As well we are working on getting more tiered awards for Bronze, Silver, Gold and Green Offices from SUU Outdoors, the SUU Greenhouse and more! Offices that earn Bronze, Silver, Gold or Green Offices will also get a certificate to show off their ranking!

During Finals week the ranks will be updated and awards will be given!
