What is a Transcript and How Do I Read It?

A transcript is an official copy of a student’s educational record while attending school at SUU.

What is the difference between an official and unofficial transcript?
Both official and unofficial transcripts contain the same information. An official transcript is on high quality paper with the institution’s watermark and sealed in an envelope. An unofficial transcript is printed on regular paper.

How do I read a transcript?

How do I access my transcript?
Transcripts must be requested from the Registrar’s Office.

If you intend to have another individual pick up your transcript, please provide a Release of Information to that individual. You may use the form linked above, or your own letter. Please include the individual's full name and your signature.

The individual will be asked to provide picture ID at the time they pick up the records to confirm that they are the individual who has been approved to receive your records.
