Accepting Your Scholarship Award

REMEMBER: It is recommended that you accept your scholarship within 30 days, but no later than March 1st for Presidents Scholarships recipients and May 1st for all other Institutional Scholarships.

Accept Your Scholarship

You will need to sign into your mySUU account when following the link. If you haven't set that up, you will need to Activate Your Account first.

  • Select the correct aid year from the "Award By Aid Year" dropdown list.
  • Choose the "Accept Award Offer" tab. 
    You will see your scholarship offer with a dropdown box that says "Undecided". Select "Accepted" from the list. (Or "Decline" if you are declining the award.) Submit Decision.

After your scholarship is accepted, you may see a requirement under “Unsatisfied Disbursement Requirements” Utah law requires all students who receive a scholarship to verify their citizenship. To verify your citizenship, you need to do one of the following:


Deferring Your Scholarship

If you would like to accept your scholarship but will not enroll for the upcoming fall semester, please complete the online scholarship acceptance process and fill out the online scholarship deferment form

Acceptable reasons to defer your scholarship include, but are not limited to: military service, medical issues or church service. All deferments must be approved by the SUU Scholarship Committee. SUU scholarships may not be deferred for employment or to attend another institution of higher education.

  • Complete the online scholarship acceptance
  • Verify your citizenship
