We are the campus delivery point for all ground packages, USPS mail, freight, and overnight deliveries from UPS, FedEx, and DHL. We also receive most of the in-bound truck shipments and all items on a Southern Utah University purchase order.

We have the following services associated with our operation:

Postal Operations

The Postal Operations student staff handles the pickup, sorting and delivery of interdepartmental mail and all US Postal Service mail. In addition to handling all daily mail, the staff completes all processes required for Standard (bulk) and first class mailings. The staff is well trained in U.S. Postal Service regulations and can advise you on the most effective and least expensive solution for your mailing needs.

In addition to handling daily mail and large mailings, Postal Operations offers special services mail, international mail, stamps, and package shipping. Postal Operations handles outgoing UPS, DHL, FedEx and U.S. Mail.

As part of processing large mailings, Postal Operations handles cleansing of electronic address databases using the most up-to-date USPS certified software to verify physical addresses as well as move updates. Contact Postal Operations at (435) 865-8232 for all your mailing needs. Or, you can e-mail us at bulkmail@suu.edu.

Pick-up and Delivery Important Facts

Mail is picked up for the university each morning from the Cedar City Post Office.

All USPS and Interdepartmental mail is delivered to departments each day between 10 a.m. and 1 p.m. and outgoing mail is picked up at the same time.

Outgoing mail left at SUU Copy & Post must be dropped off by 1:50 p.m.

Outgoing mail must be at our office by 2:00 p.m. each day in order to be mailed the same day. This includes FedEx & UPS. DHL cutoff time is 11:30 a.m.

All outgoing mail is taken to the Cedar City Post Office at 2:30 pm daily.

Receiving

Receiving is responsible for accepting and delivering all departmental merchandise ordered from outside vendors. These orders should be properly identified with a department name, contact person, and if you used a purchase order, it should have the order number and/or the name of the individual who placed the order.

Departments should not assume one-day delivery out of our department. However, every accommodation will be giving to get packages to respective departments as soon as they arrive.
