Geode Swimwear was founded in 2018, by husband and wife team Jenna and Jake, who were attending SUU at the time. The idea for Geode originated from a problem that Jenna faced in 2016 while trying to find a modest, affordable swimsuit for their honeymoon. Any swimsuit she found that was cute and not a "granny" suit was way out of their poor college student price range. Fast forward two years after becoming involved in the SUU entrepreneurship club and surrounding themselves with other business-minded people they lived off rice and beans and emptied their entire savings of $1600 to buy one bulk order of swimsuits and Geode Swimwear was born. Now with lots of help from Mentors and receiving funding from business pitch competitions, Geode Swimwear is now a 6 figure e-commerce business with 11 different suit options.
