USOR Peer Mentoring Program
In partnership with the Department of Workforce Services for all DRC students between ages 17-21.

Mentee Information:
Students participating in the peer mentor program will meet weekly one-on-one with an experienced SUU student peer mentor to receive personalized support and instruction relevant to them to increase their personal and academic success on the following pre-ETS (pre-employment transition services).
- Job-Exploration Counseling: Major/career courses to take, qualifications, and skills needed to develop
- Work-Based Learning: Onsite exposure to job environments with internships
- Post-Secondary Educational Programs: SUU programs, classes and resources. Academic skill development that transfers to jobs or careers.
- Workplace Readiness Training: Leadership skills, teamwork, decision-making, soft skills, resume, cover letter, mock interview, and professional development skills.
- Self-Advocacy: Advocate for their needs academically, personally and professionally.

- Goal setting and motivation
- Activating and using accommodations
- Campus resources
- Time management skills
- Study strategies
- Communication
- Life balance skills
- Self-care practices
- Stress management skills
