Level HP-1 Nursing Students
Summer 2024

Summer 2024:  All Students need to get hard copies of Current Clinical Documentation to Teresa Higbee (SCA 108C) by noon on Monday,  April 22, 2024. 

HP-1 students register for the following NURS courses: 3111, 3152, 3172, 3182 one of the 3187 clinical course sections.

First two weeks of school (Monday, 05/13/2024 - Wednesday, 05/22/2024) schedule:

Classes are Tuesdays and Wednesdays  (check the posted schedule). Clinical/Lab are on Mondays &Tuesday mornings, occasional Thursdays and there will be some self-scheduled volunteer hours.

Level HP-4 Nursing Students
Summer 2024

Hurst Review (Three-Day Live NCLEX-RN Review):  Wednesday, 08/07/2024 - Friday, 08/09/2024, 0845 - 1730; Location: Nursing Classroom, SCA 106.  All HP-4 students will be registered by Nursing Staff.  Registration and attendance is mandatory, expectations will be explained the first part of the semester.

HP-4 students register for the following NURS courses: 4432, 4442, 4552, one of the 4437 and 4557 clinical course sections.

First week of school (Monday, 05/13/2024 - Wednesday, 05/22/2024) schedule:

Classes are Tuesdays and Wednesdays  (check the posted schedule). Clinicals are as scheduled with preceptor assignment and Critical Care Instructor.

Level One Nursing Students
Fall 2024

Fall 2024: All Students need to provide hard copies of Current Influenza/Flu Documentation to Teresa Higbee (Program Manager) no later than 12:00 PM on Wednesday,  October 23, 2024.   Influenza/Flu vaccines can be received after September 1, 2024.

Register for the following NURS courses: 3120, 3130, 3140, 3160, and one of the 3135 sections.

First week of school (Wednesday, 08/28/2024 - Friday, 09/06/2024) schedule:

Classes Mondays and Tuesdays (check the posted schedule). Clinical/Lab are on Wednesdays, Thursdays, and Fridays.

All Students must complete the required online BLS course prior to August 28, 2024, or the first class day of NURS 3130.  The "HeartCode BLS Course", blended learning option can be found on the AHA website, 
https://shopcpr.heart.org/heartcode-bls, and each student is responsible to pay for this course.  Upon completion of the on-line portion, print the certificate of completion and bring the printed copy as proof into Donna De Silva.  The deadline to submit the printed certificate is the second day of the semester in NURS 3130, Thursday, August 29, 2024, 6:00 am.  Once all the certificates are turned in, Donna De Silva will give them to Erin Bryan, Lab Coordinator, to make a schedule for the hands-on training portion of the CPR Certification.  This schedule will be posted within 24 hours of receipt of all printed certificates (no later than mid-afternoon Thursday, August 29, 2024).

All students will meet at above location & at 10:00 students will split into groups and go to the lab (SCA 103) at their scheduled group times for BLS.

Program Codes needed to register for exam (NCSBN)
  • RN school code: US38500000
  • LPN by equivalency test school code (PARTIAL RN EDUCATION TAKING PN): US38909700 (L2 students that want a LPN license:  application must be in to the state board within 30 days of the date of the letter of equivalency)

NCLEX-RN Application Process:

  1. Take & Pass the NCLEX (Create an NCLEX account through Pearson Vue and pay the $200.00 testing fee).  NCLEX Examination Registration (NCSBN).  Program Codes (for registration).

  2. Licensure (After successfully passing NCLEX-RN).  Request an SUU Transcript from   MySUU Portal, select "After Degree is Posted" and send (via 3rd party clearinghouse by the SUU Registrar's Office) to doplbureau7@utah.gov

  3. Once transcripts are sent, send to Department of Occupational and Professional Licensing (DOPL) the completed application, required fee and completed fingerprint cards. Fingerprint information (DOPL).

Please note, test must be taken within 30 days of DOPL receiving application!

NCLEX-PN Application Process:
