Level One Nursing Students
Spring 2026

Spring 2026: All Students need to submit hard copies of their required immunization records and health records to Teresa Higbee (Program Manager) no later than 1:00 PM on Monday,  January 5, 2026.  

Register for the following NURS courses: 3120, 3130, 3140, 3160, and one of the 3135 sections.

First week of school (Wednesday, 01/07/2026 - Friday, 01/16/2026) schedule:

Classes Mondays and Tuesdays (check the posted schedule). Clinical/Lab are on Wednesdays, Thursdays, and Fridays.

All Students must complete the required online BLS course prior to January 7, 2026, or the first day of the semester.  The "HeartCode BLS Course", blended learning option can be found on the AHA website, https://shopcpr.heart.org/heartcode-BLS, and each student is responsible to pay for this course.  Upon completion of the on-line portion, print the certificate of completion and bring the printed copy as proof to the instructor of NURS 3130.  The deadline to submit the printed certificate is the first day of the semester in NURS 3135, Clinical Orientation, Wednesday, January 7, 2026.  Once all the certificates are turned in, our Nursing Lab Coordinator, will create a schedule for the hands-on training portion of the CPR Certification, starting  the morning of Thursday, January 8, 2026.

Level Two Nursing Students

Level Two Students are eligible to sit for the PN NCLEX at the successful completion of their second semester, if interested see licensing information at the NCLEX (RN & PN) exam information tab below.

Hurst Review (Three-Day Live NCLEX-RN Review):  Wednesday, 04/15/2026 - Friday, 04/17/2026, 0830 - 1730; Location: Location SUU, R. Haze Hunter Conference Center, Charles Hunter Room.  All level 4 students will be registered by Nursing Staff.  Registration and attendance is mandatory, expectations will be explained the first part of the semester.

Register for the following NURS courses: 4430, 4440, 4550 and one of the 4435 and 4555 clinical course sections.

Program Codes needed to register for exam (NCSBN)
  • RN school code: US38500000
  • LPN by equivalency test school code (PARTIAL RN EDUCATION TAKING PN): US38909700 (L2 students that want a LPN license:  application must be in to the state board within 30 days of the date of the letter of equivalency)

NCLEX-RN Application Process:

  1. Take & Pass the NCLEX (Create an NCLEX account through Pearson Vue and pay the $200.00 testing fee).  NCLEX Examination Registration (NCSBN).  Program Codes (for registration).

  2. Licensure (After successfully passing NCLEX-RN).  Request an SUU Transcript from   MySUU Portal, select "After Degree is Posted" and send (via 3rd party clearinghouse by the SUU Registrar's Office) to doplbureau7@utah.gov

  3. Once transcripts are sent, send to Department of Occupational and Professional Licensing (DOPL) the completed application, required fee and completed fingerprint cards. Fingerprint information (DOPL).

Please note, test must be taken within 30 days of DOPL receiving application!
