Proposals need to be submitted to SPARC 10 days prior to agency deadline for review.

SUU's federally-negotiated Indirect Cost (IDC) rate (also known as Facilities and Administrative, or F&A, Cost) is 45% of any Salaries, Wages, and Benefits (SWB) charged to the grant.

• Sum of all SWB x (multiplied by) .45 = IDC/F&A Cost

All other rates specified in the Request for Proposal (RFP) or Notice of Funding Opportunity (NOFO) need to be processed by SPARC Office personnel.

Benefit rates are respective to the type of compensation:

• Supplemental Pay Benefits — Calculated specific to an individual.
• Overload Pay Benefits — Specific to university rates.
• Part-Time/Temporary Employment — Determined by SPARC Office personnel.
