Mission Statement

The SUU Health & Wellness Center strives to promote holistic health and well-being of students through comprehensive programming, peer to peer support, and preventative education. We share up-to-date, accurate, useful, health information and offer support regarding their own or someone else’s health and well-being.

Vision Statement

The Health & Wellness Center seeks to engage students by informing and connecting them to resources available on campus and in their community. Through prevention efforts that inform, increase awareness, and educate the student body. The Health & Wellness Center seeks to positively impact the university environment by promoting healthy lifestyles through evidence-based social norm approaches and environmental strategies.

 Slice, Slice, Baby Meet 'n' Greet - Thursday September 8 in the Health & Wellness Center (ST 175) Come grab a slice of free pizza, chat with the Health & Wellness team and learn about that amazing resources available to you! Event will be held from 11 -1. 

Suicide Prevention and Awareness Week 

Monday September 12 - Honor Beads, Health & Wellness Center (ST 175), 11 -1 

Tuesday September 13 - QPR Training, Cedar Breaks Room (ST 141 CB), 11 - 12:30, Suicide Prevention Training provided by Jessie Mineer from Health & Wellness and Carlos Medina from SUUPD. Open to all students, faculty, and staff. 

Wednesday September 14 - Suicide Prevention Film Night, Sterling Church Auditorium, 4 -5, Each and Every Day presented by the JED Foundation. 

Thursday September 15 - Letter Writing, Mall Hallway, 11 - 1, Thinking of someone? Write to them to let them know how much you appreciate them.

Harry Potter Trivia - Tuesday September 27, Are you a Harry Potter fan? Want to connect with other students who share similar interests? Come to out trivia night to represent your house in a harry potter trivia battle! There will be free butterbeer! Event will be held in the Living room from 7 - 8.

- A convenient and free resource available to students. TrulaCampus offers free coaching session to college students who might be feeling, stressed, anxious, or if you just need someone to talk to. Get connected to a life coach via text, phone, or video.
