Trips & Adventures Program

SUU Outdoors sponsors a range of adventures for current students throughout the school year to ignite a passion in the outdoors. We host 50 free Adventure Trips in the school year for students to go hiking, mountain biking, canyoneering, climbing, rafting, paddleboard, xc ski, and snowshoeing throughout the southern Utah region. We also run our Bigger, Badder, Radder Trips program for students, faculty, and staff which take them to explore deeper into the backcountry surrounding SUU.

We also do group trips in the Cedar City area. If you, your team, your company, your youth conference are coming to southern Utah and looking for adventure we can get you set up with some adventure. More information can be found on our Group Reservation Page.

Adventure Trips

The Adventure Trips Program is for current students and has no cost associated with participating. Current students can come sign up for these trips two Mondays before the date listed at noon in Basecamp. Bring your student ID with you

Bigger, Badder, Radder Trips

The BBR Trips program takes participants on adventures that require a bit more. These trips are still beginner friendly, but longer and offer a more robust experience. These trips are open to current students, faculty, and staff at SUU. They do have a cost associated with them. Trips open two Mondays before the trip dated listed at noon in Basecamp.

The FEMALE Series

For Empowering Meaningful Adventure Leadership Experiences

The foundational purpose of this series is to build a strongly connected group that empowers women to find their place in the outdoor community. We will design a safe space for women to openly discuss challenges that are commonly faced in an industry that is currently dominated by men.
