Commercial Music Major
SUU is excited to offer students the opportunity to major in Commercial Music. Students in this major will have the chance to take classes in music technology, audio recording techniques, songwriting, and music entrepreneurship. Commercial Music majors also have the option to perform popular music styles with our major-specific ensembles, Alternate Currents, Direct Currents, Commercial Breaks, and more. In addition to earning a music degree, students in this major attend national networking events and graduate with recording software certification.

Commercial Music Scholarship
Inspired by his own experiences and a deep passion for music, Dr. McKay Tebbs created the Commercial Music Scholarship at SUU. Dr. Tebbs' dedication to giving back was driven by a profound appreciation for the opportunities that a scholarship afforded him to start his journey. By establishing the Commercial Music Scholarship, Dr. Tebbs seeks to create a lasting impact and inspire others to support and uplift the next generation of musicians.
