Welcome to the SUU Department of Music
Southern Utah University is accredited by the National Association of Schools of Music (NASM). Degrees and emphases offered include:
- Bachelor of Arts in Music
- Bachelor of Music in Music Education (secondary choral or secondary instrumental emphasis)
- Bachelor of Music in Performance (instrumental or vocal emphasis)
- Bachelor of Music in Commercial Music
- Master of Music Education
- Master of Music in Music Technology
- Minor in Music
Ensembles are open for audition and enrollment to all students regardless of their field of study. Ensembles include:
- Wind Symphony
- Symphonic Band
- Symphony Orchestra
- Jazz Ensemble (One & Two)
- Sound of Southern Utah Athletic Bands
- Opus (chamber vocal ensemble)
- Concert Choir
- Luminosa (treble choir)
- Commercial Music Ensembles
- Percussion Ensembles
- Other instrumental chamber ensembles (brass, string, etc.)
